The Best Big Tractor Mods for Farming Simulator 21

Last updated on 4 months ago
It can be difficult to decide on the most suitable Farming Simulator 21 tractor mod. This is understandable – there are plenty of them to select from. The majority of the mods are great indeed. However, there are a few that stand out as superb.

We’ve tried practically all the tractor FS21 mods that we could find. Now we present our favorite ones from all those that we have tried (remember to come back to the list frequently – We’ll keep updating it regularly):

Claas Axion 900 by Smety
The Claas Axion 900 Series tractor by Smety is the favorite one according to many of us. We absolutely loved it in FS17. Smety did a good job by converting it and making it even better for Farming Simulator 21. No wonder this is our most loved one in Farming Simulator 21 as well.

There are plenty of reasons to love this tractor. We the sound is one of the most outstanding features. Obviously, Smety has worked hard on making the tractor emit high-quality realistic sounds. And it was worth making the effort.

Other things that drew our attention were the animations. They may not matter a lot to some players, but we were so happy and totally impressed when we saw how the steering console can fold and unfold every time a player gets off or gets on the tractor.

Fendt Vario 1000 by Ahran Modding
A great number of players were very glad to discover that Giants have included the Fendt 1000 Vario tractor in FS21. And this is not all – fans were very happy when Ahran Modding released his impressively upgraded rendition of the vanilla model. Why? Well, Ahran’s version is like having several tractors merged into one super great tractor.

Had enough of driving in a Fendt? Just bring it to the closest shop and ask for a new paint job. Or why not have a different brand altogether?

You see, you have plenty of choice when it comes to color configurations to test. You could turn it into a Challenger s well if you feel like it (on the other hand, we believe it’s better to try Custom Modding’s Challenger version since comes closer to the origin.)

We liked very much all the nicely animated stuff. For instance, you get the possibility to open doors and windows at the same time. And many vehicle parts that are movable in the real-world can now be moved on the in-game tractor as well.

New Holland T9 US by KMN Modding
These tractors are simply unbelievable. They are so large, with impressive capabilieties, and very well constructed. One thing that we particularly appreciate in this rendition of the T9 series is the fact that it replicates the real-world versions so well. If you are face-to-face with the real-life T9 series vehicles, you will see that the largest versions come with a more ample bonnet than the smaller-size ones. Well, KMN Modding was skillful enough to mimick this nuance in the FS21 replicas of the T9s as well; thanks to this important detail the result of his modding job even better and more enjoyable.

We also loved the physics of this mod and the way it’s controlled. As soon as you take off in one, you practically sense it’s power and potential. It is entirely like driving one of these impressive machines in real world, but still… It looks like KMN Modding has put a lot more effort on refining the details of the tractor’s behavior inside Farming Simulator 21 compared to many other modders.
